A partnership with Mitt Liv goes beyond the mentoring program. The partner company engages in continuous exchange with us throughout the year on the topic of inclusive corporate culture, and together, we work on further developing it. On one hand, our mentoring program provides a platform for cultural exchange, helping employees strengthen their competencies in inclusion. On the other hand, representatives from our partner companies (e.g., HR professionals) participate in networking meetings, where they discuss current topics related to inclusive corporate culture and gain new perspectives.
What you receive as a partner:
Positioning as integration promoter
New insights into culture concepts and inclusive company culture
Access to our Mitt Liv mentee pool
Visibility as a sponsor on our website and social media channels
As a mentee in our mentoring program, you receive support and guidance from a mentor who is established in the Swiss labour market. During the program’s joint meetings, you also have the possibility to expand your professional network through contact with other mentors and mentees.
Being a mentor in our Mitt Liv Mentoring Program means that you get new insights into interacting with different cultures and reflect on your own corporate culture in exchange with mentees and peers from other companies. With your mentee, a person with foreign background who doesn’t have a job in Switzerland, you engage in an equal exchange about the Swiss job market, and coach them on professional matters. You bring those insights back to your organizations and are able to create a fairer and more inclusive work environment.
We are looking for mentors from all levels of organisations who can contribute to our program with their engagement and their experience!
Mitt Liv offers in Switzerland two mentoring programs per year – one during spring and one during autumn. Each program lasts for three months, and participation entails a commitment of 15 hours in total.
The program includes:
The core of our mentoring program are three mandatory on-site workshops (each 2,5 hours), where participating mentors and mentees exchange ideas on cultural concepts, the Swiss job market, and inclusive corporate culture. The focus is on networking and mutual learning through group discussions. All the joint workshops are held in English and take place in the Zurich region. We also offer virtual workshops for those who cannot participate in person.
During these 1:1 meetings, mentees and mentors work together to navigate the Swiss labour market and to enhance job-seeking activities (CV, job interviews etc.). Mentors provide their experience and coach the mentee where needed. Meetings are scheduled individually between mentee and mentor and conducted in person or digitally.
Mentees and mentors have access to a digital platform throughout the program. It provides tips, advice and pre-reading materials before workshops.
