The partnership offers EY a valuable opportunity to connect with organisations that share the goal of advancing an inclusive labour market while gaining insights into the challenges that need to be addressed.

The partnership is set to extend EY’s DEI initiatives, particularly through engaging in Mitt Liv’s mentoring program for individuals with a foreign background and post-secondary education. Selected EY partners will act as mentors in the program to support mentees and help improve access to the Swiss labour market. The collaboration will provide EY with access to joint knowledge sessions, tailored support, and expertise in consultation, education, and mentoring.

EY’s dedication to advancing DEI is deeply rooted in the recognition of the diverse starting points, circumstances, and identities that shape individuals’ experiences. The firm’s commitment to driving sustainable change for greater social equity is more essential than ever in light of global challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic, social and political divisions, and ongoing injustices. EY believes in using its voice, reach, and platform to address systemic disparities in the working world.

"Partnering with Mitt Liv aligns with our purpose of building a better working world," says Robin Errico, Chief Risk Officer and DE&I Chair at EY Switzerland. "This collaboration supports our efforts to build an inclusive labour market in Switzerland, where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. We are excited about the positive impact this partnership will have, both within EY and in our broader community."

"We are delighted to have EY Switzerland as another key partner in our DEI journey here in Switzerland," says Marc Maurer, CEO of Mitt Liv Switzerland. "Together, we will improve the integration of individuals with a foreign background and post-secondary education into the Swiss labour market and promote DEI within Swiss companies. We greatly appreciate EY's commitment and look forward to exploring further DEI opportunities."

"The partnership offers us at EY valuable opportunities to learn more about the challenges foreign-born individuals with a higher education are facing when applying for a job in the Swiss labour market. The collaboration also strengthens EY’s connections with other DEI-focused organisations, facilitating the exchange of best practices and resources, which aligns with EY’s commitment to creating long-term value for clients, people, and society," says Margit Vunder, Culture and DE&I Lead at EY in Switzerland.
