Mitt Liv's Impact Report 2021

Here you can download our entire impact report for the financial year 2020/2021. Below you may also find a light summary and a selection of our results, as well as interviews with the people we meet every day in our operations.

The report in brief

For us it is important that everything we do contributes to our vision of an inclusive society and a labour market that values diversity, which is why we perform annual impact measurements to assess our impact within the mentoring program and our partnership network.

The results in this year's report show, among other things, a positive trend within the mentoring program Mitt Livs Chans, where the proportion of mentees who got a job or an internship during or after the program has increased from 36% to 44% from the previous year. Within this group 73% got a job and 27% an internship. 9 out of 10 consider that the job/internship matches their qualifications.

The effects among mentors also show that those who engage in the program become internal ambassadors on issues related to diversity and inclusion in their workplaces. For example, 8 out of 10 mentors state that they have gained ideas on how their organisation can act more inclusive in their workplace.

Through our consulting services and partnerships we give organisations strategies and practical tools to work successfully on diversity and inclusion. Among our partners 95% state that their organisation’s level of inclusion has improved during the collaboration, and 86% state that they have made changes to increase their diversity. Together we work for a more inclusive labour market that takes advantage of Sweden's entire talent pool - a work that contributes to an organisation's profitability, innovation and competitiveness.

Our vision

Since Mitt Liv was first established, we have continued to work on the basis of the same vision, namely the creation of an inclusive society and a labour market that values diversity.

To achieve our vision we currently primarily work with two groups – employers who are in need of knowledge, strategies and concrete tools for successful D&I (diversity and inclusion) activities, and academics with a foreign background who don’t have a job in Sweden that matches their qualifications and competence. Our work method enables us to develop tools and create change together with engaged employers and workers. In this way we see possibilities to create a labour market that values diversity and thus promotes a more competitive Sweden.
