As a mentee in Mitt Liv's mentoring program, you'll receive guidance from an experienced mentor in the Swiss labour market. You'll also expand your professional network and gain tools to enhance your job search during joint workshops.
To be eligible for the program, applicants must:
Have a migrant and/or refugee background (priority given to individuals from areas at risk of humanitarian disasters or non-EU/non-EFTA countries)
Hold a valid B, C, or Ci permit
Possess a completed apprenticeship or a higher education degree (Bachelor or above)
Have a minimum of 2 years of work experience
Demonstrate proficiency in English (at least B2 level)
Commit to the full duration of the program and be able to attend the joint workshops on-site in Zürich.
Mitt Liv's collaboration partners in Switzerland provide mentors for the program. These mentors come from various sectors and industries - just like the mentees.
We offer two programs per year – one during the autumn and one during the spring. Each program lasts for 4 months, and participation entails a commitment of 12-13 hours in total.
During the program the mentor and mentee meet individually on at least four occasions. We match mentees and mentors to the greatest extent possible based on educational background, industry/sector and experience.
The joint workshops are held in Zürich, and it's important that you are able to attend these on-site to enroll in the program.

My mentor was truly exceptional. With a brilliant career in the same field as mine, she guided me professionally and helped me manage my insecurities. Through her mentorship, I learned to recognize and harness my skills, transforming me into a confident and valuable candidate.
The punctuality, the organization and the friendly environment created by the Mitt Liv team were fantastic.
The group meetings were the highlight of the mentoring program, as we gained valuable insights from various mentors with different careers and perspectives. This exponentially increased our chances of finding our dream job.
