Mitt Liv's mentoring program is Sweden’s largest mentoring program for individuals with a foreign background and post-secondary education. The program provides support to help you enter the Swedish labour market through mentoring, education, and a growing network. The goal? To improve your chances of finding a qualified job that matches your skills.
To apply you need to meet the following criteria:
You were born outside of Sweden, or have parents who were both born outside of Sweden.
You have completed a post-secondary education.
You are unemployed or underemployed relative to your education and are actively seeking work.
You live in Sweden.
You have a Swedish residence permit (or are an EU citizen).
You can communicate fluently in English.
A personal mentor who shares their experiences and supports you in your job search.
The opportunity to expand your professional network through your mentor and fellow participants.
A deeper understanding of the Swedish labour market and job application processes.
Tools and guidance to improve your CV, cover letters, and interview preparation.
The program runs for 4 months and requires a total commitment of approximately 10 hours. Since it is conducted digitally, you can apply regardless of where in Sweden you live. The program contains:
During these meetings, mentees and mentors work together to navigate the Swedish labour market and job search process. Mentors provide their insights and support. Meetings are scheduled at your convenience during the program and can be conducted digitally or in person.
Participants meet online to network, share experiences, and gain knowledge and tools on various themes. All group sessions are held in English.
Mentees and mentors have access to a digital platform throughout the program. It provides tips, advice, and training materials before meetings, including a digital introductory course with tools and guidance for mentorship and the program.
